The journals kept by Thomas Judson Peters from the year 1937 until 1944. Tom was the Superintendant of Construction for the Dominion Coal Company in Cape Breton. He was born in South Head, Cape Breton and later moved to Glace Bay, residing on Yorke St. with his family, his wife was Edna Blanche Shepard. These journals held mostly weather information with the facts below jotted in as side notes. Some of the things I've left out, things that repeat themselves constantly (Mrs. to Sydney, to O.M.'s, Rev and Mrs. Messenger to house) and also work stuff, mainly that he was to a certain mine that day and animals he saw or got while hunting. The spelling is a mixture of his own and mine (I had to correct some things or no one would understand anything). In brackets I've added some explanations where I'm able. There's a fair number of question marks where I found it difficult to read the writing and some dates of deaths and events may be a day off, no more (I've commented when I can).
